    Reward Bracelet

    I rewarded myself with this bracelet after completing the Moccasin 24 Ultra Trail Race recently. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d do a race like this. I went in with no expectations other than to have fun, but in the back of my mind earning that belt buckle would be nice. I knew I’d have to complete 52 miles, which I wound up doing, then the race director convinced me to go one more loop to make it 56 miles in order to bump me up in the rankings. When the results came in, I was in the top 5 females & top 25 overall. I must say…I found a new me out there in the middle of the night on the trails…a stronger, grittier me! One that can do hard things. The snake represents the Moccasin race & when I look down at it, it’s a reminder of the determination and the talks I had with God, my dad, and myself.

    Exceeded expectations!
